Police have raided three football clubs as part of an investigation into alleged corruption in football.
As you would expect Huddersfield Town is not one of them, they are Newcastle, Rangers and Portsmouth.
No surprises their then, certainly not for the English clubs at any rate.
Search warrants were served in the early hours of Monday morning although City of London Police, who are heading the investigation, did not disclose the identities of the clubs at that time.
Northumbria police later confirmed that Newcastle were one of the clubs subject to the inquiry. Rangers and Portsmouth then both revealed they also had received the morning call and that they had cooperated fully.
The raids were not carried out in connection with Lord Stevens' ongoing investigation into transfer irregularities.
A Police spokeswoman said: 'We can confirm that search warrants were served at three football clubs and the homes of two individuals in connection with corruption in football and its impact on owners and shareholders.
I expect Bolton Wanderers fans are heaving a sigh of relief, that their clubs name is no longer being tarnished.
Things just seem to keep happening like this to clubs associated with Sam Allardyce, don't they.
Lets be glad as Huddersfield Town fans that our club is not involved in the shady world of corruption in football, that is ruining our national game.
