Huddersfields versatility victory

Huddersfield manager Andy Ritchie`s certainly showed all terriers fans why and how he believes his insistence in a versatile squad in terms of being able to play in more than one position, can benefit us this season

With defender David Mirfin missing the game at Bournemouth along with stand in striker Danny Schofield, and the already injured Frank Sinclair.

A team with winger Malvin Kamara up front, Matt Young making his first appearance under Ritchie, on the right wing, Aaron Hardy at centre-back and Andy Holdsworth reverting to his old right-back position secured the three points at Dean Court, to place the side second in FL1.

"We`ve talked about the need for versatility in the squad, and this game showed we have some," said Ritchie, in the Examiner who is exploring the possibility of a loan signing.

"It was a good all-round performance, not always pretty, but effective, and sometimes, that`s the way it has to be.

What do you think has this victory convinced you that Ritchie is on the right track with his jack all trades signings ?

its all well and good having a versatile squad, but we do need another first team squad member or two, we are only two games in and already injuries are mounting.
