'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ritchie is right

Huddersfield Town manager Andy Ritchie has spoken out about the Danny Cadamarteri sending off last night at the Galpharm in the terriers 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Cadamarteri, who had been booked for committing a foul early on in the game, was dismissed for a second yellow card after jumping over the barrier to celebrate with the home fans following his 67th minute goal.

Ritchie said: 'That decision cost us the chance of getting all three points.

'I felt that with 11 men we'd have gone on to win the game. It's a shame that players can't celebrate scoring a goal with their home supporters. If that is the law, then the law is an ass.'

Vital view - Can't argue with that, he's right

Nine minutes after the sending off, Forest sub Kris Commons equalised and was himself booked when he and four team-mates rushed into the dugout to celebrate with their manager Colin Calderwood.

'If the referee was going to be consistent then he should have booked all the Forest players who ran into the dugout and not just Commons.'

Vital view - Can't argue with that either.

I did not realise that he had scored 67 goals already? That really is prolific!
