Shame on the Football league and Leeds United, Huddersfield Town will only receive 1,710 tickets for the Leeds United game on Saturday 8 December (KO 12:15pm) after the Football League agreed to bend their rules for Town's rivals.
Under Police advice, the Football League has upheld Leeds' request to give Town fewer than the required minimum of 2000 away tickets.
Leeds United have said it was the trouble at the Millwall game they encountered which has led to their decision.
Leeds' petition for a reduced allocation was submitted before the trouble at Leeds against Millwall and was mooted even earlier, with Town submitting an application for a normal allocation before Leeds' in anticipation of such a move.
In upholding Leeds' petition, the Football League have imposed several conditions on the Elland Road club and said:
'Whilst I realise that it will be of no consolation to Huddersfield Town, the Board also decided that Leeds United should be required to take appropriate steps to address this deficiency for all future games where the security risk might otherwise restrict the visitors' ticket allocation.
Huddersfield chairman Ken Davy today said: on the official site
'It is a very disappointing and frustrating decision for us and all our supporters, but it is one that we have to abide by. We have done everything we possibly can as a Club on behalf of our loyal supporters.'
Vital view - No change here then in Leeds United's modus operandi, what a bunch of cheats, looks to me like they are a bit scared of playing the terriers !
