Huddersfield v Crewe Latest 0-1

Andy Ritchie has named an unchanged Huddersfield Town line up for the third game running.

The Town team to face Crewe at the Galpharm is

Glennon
Holdsworth, Clarke, Mirfin, Williams
Kamara, Wallwork, Collins, Schofield
Jevons, Booth

Subs

Smithies, Skarz, Worthington, Beckett, Racchi.

Crewe line up with

Williams, Abbey, Jones, O'Connor, Baudet, Rix, McCready, Carrington, Moore, Barnard, Church
subs, Lowe, Cox, O'Donnell, Miller, Bennett.

An even start to the game, Crewe giving as good as they are getting in the first ten minutes of the game.
Crewe so far playing an attacking 4-3-3 formation.

Not a lot of incident in the opening twenty minutes of this game.

Spoke too soon, that man Barnard has scored for Crewe again, just as he did at Gresty Road, to put Crewe 1-0 up, the Spurs loanee, likes playing against Huddersfield !

Crewe certainly have the upper hand in this game now, they are not playing like a side beaten 4-0 and 3-0 the last two times out.

Half an hour gone and the terriers have not really got going as yet, it looks like the jekyl and hyde performances continue for Huddersfield.

Clarke is booked for a foul.

With ten minutes still to go to half time, it cannot come too soon for the Huddersfield team.

Poor, poor, poor, the crowd are getting restless, with five minutes to the break, some drifting off for an early half time cup of tea or something stronger.

Holdsworth goes into the referees book

Half time - Huddersfield Town 0 Crewe Alexandra 1.
The terriers can have no complaints, must do better in the second half.

Attendance - 9759

Lets see if Andy Ritchies words have had any effect during the half time break.

I can see some early substitutions taking place here, Beckett and probably Worthington to come on.

The terriers have started the half brightly.

Ten minutes into the second half, and Huddersfield having more of the ball than in the first half, and playing with a bit more passion.

Crewe not looking as comfortable now though.

Twenty minutes of the second half gone, Town are more in the game now, but still not really looking like scoring as yet.

Substitutions Mr Ritchie, surely ?

Crewe make the first change, with fifteen minutes to go, Cox the veteran defender comes on for Carrington.

Beckett and Worthington come on for Wallwork and Schofield, Town look to be playing three up front now as they seek the equaliser.

It is not looking like it wil be the terriers day, unless Beckett can come up with another one of his super sub strikes.
