Town target to Tranmere

Former Huddersfield loan player Andy Taylor has moved from Blackburn Rovers to the terriers FL1 rivals Tranmere Rovers on a permanent basis.

It must be a Rovers thing !

It was rumoured at one stage that Huddersfield, Crewe and Blackpool were keen to sign Taylor.

The left-back had been on loan with Tranmere for the past two-months.

Moving permanently to Prenton Park for an undisclosed amount on a two-and-a-half year contract.

Crewe and Huddersfield dropped out of the running leaving Tranmere and Blackpool still in the hunt for his signature.

Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore told Sky Sports News: 'We've been battling over the last three or four days with Blackpool to get his signature, we matched the fee that they offered, so it's great Andy has decided to come to us with Blackpool being in the Championship.

'He will definitely get first-team football here because he is a quality player. I believe he is money in the bank for this football club.

Taylor added: 'I'm really pleased to be joining Tranmere. I enjoyed my time here on loan and I'm looking forward to playing more football here.'
