Look out for the latest blockbuster at your local cinema, 'The spy who loaned me'
Huddersfield Town manager, Andy Ritchie set the record straight on one topic of conversation amongst fans.
It is thought by some that he would have to sell or loan out to buy or loan in.
But speaking on the official site he said
'There is no pressure on me to let someone leave before I sign someone, but I will only bring a player in if it is going to benefit the side; the player who comes in has to be better than what we have already got.'
Sounds good so far, very sensible, an honest, feet on the ground type statement.
Speaking at the same time on rumours of a loan move he said
'We have been in contact with a club about a possible loan move for a player, but they were unable to bring in a player to replace him and so they couldn't release that man to us. That isn't dead and we will continue to monitor the situation. Hopefully when the loan window re-opens (February 8th). For now, it's a question of 'watch this space'.'
However by the time he was speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, he had slipped back into the all too familiar manager speak of,
I know something you don't, na na na na nah.
Its top secret and if I tell you who it is we are trying to sign, everybody will be after him, and I will have to swallow this cyanide pill the chairman gave me, for betraying this huge secret.
Yes OK whatever you say, Andy.
'We are looking at a loan situation later on. We have a finger in a pie, but the move will not happen this week.
'We'll keep the identity of the player under our veil of secrecy, but maybe the move will happen in one or two weeks' time.'
Reading these spy thriller novels can really play havoc with your sense of reality.
So that's where all the moneys gone, Ken Davy has been developing a top secret high tech 'veil' for his staff to operate under !
