Huddersfield v Swansea

Its a big game, Swansea are runaway league leaders, and Huddersfield really cannot afford to lose if they are to cling on to the slightest hopes of making the play offs.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Ritchie - 'The players still believe we can make the play-offs but we all know it's going to be a tall order.'

'We'll probably have to win nine or 10 games, which is a possibility, but it doesn't leave us with a big margin for error.

'Ten wins would give us 73 points and I think we would be unlucky not to make the playoffs with that total.

'Hopefully we can start that push this weekend.'

Terriers Team News:

Nothing has changed from last week,
Worthington and Cadamarteri will be missing.

Player to watch: All of them

In my book all the players need to put in a big performance in this game, all the players !

Swans Team News:

Swansea will give late fitness tests to Ferrie Bodde, Leon Britton and Tom Butler.

Paul Anderson will not be risked, while Guillem Bauza (groin), Dennis Lawrence (knee) and Marcos Painter (hamstring) are all out.

Player to watch: Jason Scotland

Andy Ritchie tried to sign him for the terriers in the summer, the guys certainly got goals in him.

Match Facts & Stats

Swansea are top we are not, winning four of their last six league games, and drawing two, the last three league games winning without conceeding a goal.
However they were knocked out of the Johnstones Paint trophy by MK Dons on Monday this week winning 1-0 on the night but having lost the first leg 1-0 they eventually went out on penalties.
Huddersfields form remains, unpredictable at best.

Match Prediction:

Bookies are offering 2/1 on Town, 11/5 Draw and 11/10 Swansea. I fancy this games as a draw.

Swanseas last league defeat was against us when we beat them 1-0 last year at their place !

A draw, yes could be, be happy with that really.

It really isnt long ago in fact for the last few seasons we have really been on a par with Swansea, as prom/play off contenders and fancied FL1 sides. It really puts it into focus just how much we havel ost ground on other sides in the last two seasons, that if we win we still need a small miracle to even make the play offs whereas Swansea will still be top of the League.

Know how you feel cheese, the gills defeat was it for my hopes this season, be shouting for them still, but in truth looking to next season now.

Town will win, its written in the air, its fate, its got to be !!!!

3-2 To Town, in a thriller, yeahhhhhhhhhhhh
Terriers
good chance for us what with all there injuries. either 1-0 with a late winner, 1-1 with a late equaliser or a 2-0 routine win for swansea with 2 goals in the first 5 mins :( :( :(

Swansea have only been sneaking the odd goal win recently. I fancy you to turn them over 2-0.

Our only real concern is our left side of defence regarding injuries, attack down there all the time and you could do us over. as long as the likes of bodde, britton and butler start in midfield we'll be ok.
KevinE
both sides seem to be content with a draw, which means it wont be a draw, i get the feeling its going to be decided by, as the commentators say, a piece of magic or a defensive mistake.
