Hartlepool v Huddersfield

Huddersfield sit 15th in the FL1 table and Hartlepool one place above the terriers in 14th. Both teams are on 46 points, although Hartlepool have played one more game than Town.
But despite this the teams head into the game with their respective managers insisting they can still make it to the play offs.

Vital Quotes:

Danny Wilson (Hartlepool manager) -It's never too late. There's 30-odd points to play for.
'You have got to have that belief that you can go and win every game you play in and that's the belief we have. Whether we will do or not is another matter.

Monkey hangers Team News:

James Brown (knee) and defender Ben Clark (thigh) remain out

Player to watch: Sam Collins

Defender Sam Collins well known to terriers fans career is in resurgence at Pool, after signing in January from Hull.

Terriers Team News:

Mirfin has a back injury, Cadamarteri is still injured. Worthington and Beckett are awaiting potential recalls to the first eleven from the subs bench.
Beckett continuing to notch goals when played as he did on Saturday from the bench would suggest he may be preferred to Booth up front

Player to watch: Rob Page

Rob Page, its still all eyes on the clean sheet maestro

Match Facts & Stats

Hartlepool won 4-0 on Saturday against Gillingham, this hot on the heels of a 1-0 away victory at Oldham.

Town having won 1-0 at Orient were in terrible shape losing the three games before that one on the bounce.

The terriers beat pool in November 2-0 at the galpharm, that game also being a midweek encounter.

Match Prediction:

Pool are 11/10, Draw 11/5, Town 2/1 at the bookmakers. Neither side can afford to lose, as this would despite all the managerial protestations certainly end any lingering pretentions from managers on making the play offs. A draw would probably have the same effect. Its a tough one to call, and with the terriers never seeming to perform this season when they really need to after a good victory, I predict a closely fought out draw.

Will they mess up again? I predict a win for us, Luke to score again. P.s Ritchie stop complaining about the strikers not getting enough goals, Beckett And Boothy have got lots of goals when you have actually picked them !
Eddie01
Its about missed chances Eddie ,whatever theyve got now could be doubled...
80s terrier
Missed chances agreed, but Beckett especially has come on as sub ans scored quite a few times. More need to get the midfield supply lines ok, apart from Holdsweorth not many assists from them. Defensively Williams could do with a wake up call too.
Eddie01
Kamara did much better v Orient, I expect Worthy n Luke to play.
Hudders
linkys going to be in the live chat tonight ;D. 1-0 town, hartlepool inconsistent, only had bk 2 bk wins twice this season, what are the odds of 3? plus they've got 3/4 top scorers out. pagey must keep tight to joel porter
