Huddersfield go in search of back-to-back home wins, that would see them climb above today's visitors Charlton in the Championship table.
Both clubs sit on 44 points and want to be looking up rather than over their shoulders as the season starts to draw near a close with only 9 games to go after the conclusion of today's match.
Huddersfield are again without the suspended James Vaughan, but it's expected that Mark Robins could well go with an unchanged team after the dramatic 2-1 victory over Middlesborough on Tuesday night.
Danny Ward made a surprise return from injury to feature from the bench and score the late winner on Tuesday, and if rumours are true then we could see the return of Jermaine Beckford on the bench today - I guess we will have to wait & see but it would be a great boost ahead of next week's trip to Leeds.
Midfielder Adam Clayton & Anthony Gerrard both sit on 9 bookings each and both will want to avoid a caution today to ensure they are available for next week's derby clash.
Charlton have been on a pretty poor run recently failing to win 7 of their last 8 games and having conceded in the last 16 games.
"The media will talk about what is happening down below, but we want to focus on the next game and climbing the table. There is no point in looking behind - we want to look up and get where we want to be. It`s all about our performances.
"We`ve played Charlton twice already this season, winning one and drawing one, and they are a hard-working team with some quality. They get some cracking runs from (Johnnie) Jackson in the middle of the pitch, who is capable of a decent finish, and I know Danny Haynes very well, who has grabbed a couple of goals recently.
"They have some pace out wide and some young players coming in, so there is a real mixture. They will also fight and scrap and they have a good collection of players there.
"We know we can compete at this level. We can take confidence from the other night and we`ll go into this game full of confidence. We want to try and get better from the other night`s performance - we can get more shots on target and more balls and bodies into the box.
"We also can`t get carried away. We have to remain grounded and continue to work as hard as we can do, doing things in the right way - with a bit of quality."
James Vaughan sits out the final match of his suspension.
Adam Clayton & Anthony Gerrard both sit on 9 bookings, and will need to avoid yellow cards to play in next weeks Derby at Leeds United.
Keith Southern is still sidelined with an Achilles injury, where Gerrard is expected to be fit.
Rumours are Jermaine Beckford could be a feature on the subs bench after a hamstring injury.
Danny Ward is available but expected to be on the bench, potentially with Sean Scannell who missed Tuesday's win over Boro with a tight hamstring.
Calum Woods is expected to be back in contention but will have to hope for a place on the bench with Hunt impressing on Tuesday.
Has been fantastic since his return from injury, adding steel to the defensive side of the game and can pick a pass too.
Leon Cort faces a late test on a knee injury.
Callum Harriott hoping for a second successive start
A midfielder who knows where the goal is, Gobern will be key to stifling him today.
• This is the third time these clubs are facing each other this season, the two previous games have seen red cards- Southern for Huddersfield and Dervite for Charlton walking for early baths.
• Huddersfield beat Charlton 1-0 in the 3rd round of the FA Cup at the Valley.
• Huddersfield aim to take all 3 points from Charlton who have not tasted victory in West Yorkshire since 1999.
• Charlton are 14th currently, level on points with Town, but have failed to win 7 of their last 8 games.
• The Addicks have had their defences breached in 16 successive league games; no club in the country has been void of a clean sheet that long.
Huddersfield 3-1 Charlton
