Terriers Vs Lions in Relegation Dog Fight

HUDDERSFIELD have their future in their own hands as they entertain Millwall at home in the lunch time kick off.

That's the view of Huddersfield manager Mark Robins with 9 points to play for, and two of the bottom 3 to play following this game.

However Huddersfield have failed to put back to back performances together the entire season, and the pitch at the Town ground isn't the best.

Town are going in search of a first home win in 4 attempts today against a Millwall side who recently beat Watford, but are not yet clear of the relegation zone themselves.

It has the makings for a very nervy tight affair.

So get down and support the lads, they need each & every one of you!

Vital Quotes: Mark Robins

"We need players who are going to give their all for the shirt and maintain their focus. We have got a three game season; everyone cares, we want to maintain our status. There will be a few more twist and turns.

"We will determine whether it goes to the last game,"

"The Millwall game is a very tough one; they have got a pretty big squad and come into the game off the back of an FA Semi-Final appearance. Kenny is a canny manager whose side is constantly picking up results, like they did on Tuesday night.

"We will have home backing for two of the remaining games and it is important that the fans stay with the players. We have to come out on top, it doesn`t matter how. The players know their jobs and they need to go and carry them out."

The players have got an opportunity over the next two weeks to write their names into the history books and keep this Club in the division.

"The effort that the Club put in to get promoted has got to be everyone`s mind; we have got to fight and maintain our status. We have got the ability to win games; we have proven that at Burnley, Leeds and Wolves. We are capable."

Huddersfield Town Team News:

Jack Hunt is available again for selection following a hamstring injury.

Millwall Team News:

Chris Taylor (groin) and defender Shane Lowry (suspended) set to miss out

Player to watch: Andrew Keogh

Experienced striker, not Chris Wood, but still a threat to Town's defence.

Ref Watch:

SCOTT MATHIESON will be the man in the middle for today's crunch meeting between Huddersfield Town and Millwall at the John Smiths Stadium, Huddersfield with a 12:30 lunch time kick off. The Whistler has taken charge of 37 games this season, issuing 101 yellow cards and 8 reds! Mathieson's last game was the 0-0 Championship draw between Cardiff and Charlton, that saw Cardiff promoted to the Premier League, with only one yellow card being issued in that game. Mathieson has taken in 17 Championship games this season with his other 20 games being spread across Leagues One & Two, with a couple of cup games in there. He has officiated one Huddersfield Town game already this season, a 3-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on Tuesday 27 November 2012, where he only issued one yellow card. Mathieson has also taken one game for Millwall this season, again they were the away side but triumphed 4-1 winners at Nottingham Forest back on Saturday 3rd November, with just two cautions being issued that day.
