Huddersfield aim to head into the international break with three points, following 3 successive Championship draws.
Manager Mark Robins has a virtually full squad to choose from with only Anton Robinson ruled out & Paul Dixon being a doubt.
Danny Ward will be hoping for an inclusion after an impressive cameo at Middlesbrough in mid-week and he well could get a place with Robins likely to replace Scannell in the starting line-up. Ward will face competition from Stead, Paterson, Lopez and youngster Duane Holmes for the shirt.
Watford have injury problems coming into the game following a 1-0 defeat to Blackburn, Cristian Battocchio (foot) and forward Javier Acuna (ankle) both came out of that game with injuries and could join the already ruled out Almen Abdi on the sidelines.
"It will be one of the toughest tests that we have faced this season,"
"They have changed a little from last season, but what they do on the pitch is interesting. They have players who can hurt teams in any situation and we will need to be at our best. If you can`t get up for games like Saturday`s then there is a major problem; we know it is going to be tough, but we have to make it hard for them.
"It is our last game before the international break and I am looking for a big effort from the players," he continued. "If we produce a good performance then I am confident that the right result will follow. It will take a massive effort from the players, staff and all the fans that come to the game because they can drive us on to victory. We might have to take risks to get the rewards that we are due.
"Watford is a very good side and we will have to work hard to stop them. If we let them play, they will hurt us."
"We want to turn the draws into wins, especially at home," Mark said. "If we win on Saturday, our points against Blackburn and Middlesbrough look fantastic. There will be ups and downs throughout the season and we just need to keep looking forward to the next game.
"The players are confident and we have out-worked teams more often than not this season. On Tuesday night we were outrun by Middlesbrough; we were excellent during the first twenty minutes, but backed off and allowed them to attack us. However, if we had defended a set-play better we would have come away with three points. It was a good point, though, and we will continue to try and improve on that this Saturday."
Paul Dixon is the only Doubt, with Anton Robinson still sidelined with a knee injury.
Danny Ward made his return at Mboro and will be pushing for a start
The former Watford midfielder will be fired up for a meeting with his former employers.
Almen Abdi is still unavailable.
Cristian Battocchio (foot) and forward Javier Acuna (ankle) both rated doubtful
Tommie Hoban and Nyron Nosworthy also remain on the sidelines.
Singed from Nottingham Forest, a very tricky attacking midfielder who ha goals, and spectacular ones, in his locker.
• A dramatic late penalty from Troy Deeney gave Watford a 3-2 win in last season's corresponding fixture and denied Huddersfield the chance to be early-season table-toppers.
• It also set the foundation for a first-ever league double for Watford over the Terriers, in their first meetings in 12 seasons
• The first goal scored will be the 50th in league matches between the clubs.
• The Terriers have drawn their past three Championship games, and are defending an unbeaten home record this season (W2 D3).
• Peter Clarke is on the threshold of a 500th club career appearance.
• Watford failed to score for only the second time this season when losing 1-0 at Blackburn on Tuesday.
• They head for West Yorkshire in search of a fourth win in five league outings and an addition to their unrivalled 20 Championship goals, shared between 10 different scorers.
