Bristol City vs. Huddersfield Town

Ashton Gate

09/02/07

1500

Will Bristol City Downtown

Town go into this game on an unbeaten run of four games They also have the extra impetus of two new faces, in the form of loan players, in the squad. However an away game at City, will be quite a challenge. Bristol have the best home record in the division so that any points will be a good result for Town.

Vital Quotes: David Mirfin

There is no point going to Ashton Gate thinking we will be happy with a point. It's a big game for us and it's probably not a bad time to go there given that they have lost their last two games and they may have one eye on the Middlesbrough cup game. It's nice because we are going there with no real pressure.

Bristol City Team News:

Adriano Basso the City keeper looks to have recovered from a painful knock to his ribs received on Monday against Scunthorpe. Prolific striker Phil Jevons made his return to action in a reserve game this week after missing the last five games and could play

Player to watch: Scott Murray

Murray Has scored nine goals from midfield, is a crowd favourite and will run at defences at every opportunity. Scored a great goal in the FA Cup against Middlesbrough

Huddersfield Town Team News:

Andy Taylor (loan from Blackburn) is now fit and will probably make his debut in place of Joe Skarz. Frank Sinclair (loan Burnley) could also make his debut.
Nathan & Tom Clarke, Hudson and Worthington are all still injured. Brandon after his illness is still run down and not travelling with the team. Its doubtful Martin McIntosh will play given the 'motivation' issue

Player to watch: David Mirfin

Has returned to some of his best form and if Jevons is playing, he wil need to maintain that form

Match Facts & Stats

City have lost their last two, Town are unbeaten in four games. Last season each side won at home. This time out that's continuing, Town won 2-1 at the Galpharm 12/8/6 with an injury time winner from the recently sold Pawel Abbott

Match Prediction:

Ladbrokes odds are, heavily in favour of a home win at Home win 4/7 Draw 5/2 Away win 9/2 Given the injury problems Town have and the likely return of Jevons for City. This looks like a home banker, but the fact that City have lost their last two games and Town are on a roll make it a little closer to call. Im going for a draw at 1-1
