An impressive, ball-playing central midfielder, second year professional Chris joined the Huddersfield Town Academy as a seven year old.
He played for local junior side Warley Rangers before becoming a Terrier and once scored five goals in a single game against Manchester United at under-12 level.
A key member of the youth team and reserve sides last season, he is very highly rated by manager Lee Clark, who handed him two first team starts during the 2010/11 campaign.
He will now spend the first six months of the 2011/12 season on loan at Blue Square Bet Premier side Darlington with the hope of gaining more first team experience.
He is contracted to the Club until the summer of 2013.
