Tony Stewart

Pen Pic

In 2008 Tony Stewart bought Rotherham United when they were in administration, in the bottom divison and starting on a -17 deficit.

He started out by moving the club from their spiritual home Millmoor out of the town to Sheffield to the Don Valley Stadium.

Four years later the club moved back into Rotherham in a brand new stadium - The New York Stadium - that Tony Stewart had bought.

He then funded the club up through League Three, up through League Two and, via a win at Wembley, up into The Championship.

Managers under Tony Stewart - Mark Robins, Ronnie Moore, Andy Scott, Steve Evans, Neil Redfearn, Neil Warnock, Alan Stubbs, Kenny Jacket, Paul Warne (caretaker)
