WATN - IAIN DUNN

WATN - IAIN DUNN
Iain Dunn, perhaps one of the most popular players to ever pull on the famous blue and white of Huddersfield Town

A player that always gave 110%, and had his own song which is still occasionally heard today, it went:-

Iain Dunn,

Iain Dunn,

Iain, Iain Dunn

He's got no hair,

But we don't care.

Iain, Iain Dunn.

Dunn was the first player in British football to score a golden goal. He achieved this feat in the Auto Windscreens Shield for Huddersfield Town versus Lincoln City on 30 November 1994. Huddersfield won 3-2 in extra time. Dunn was later presented with a commemorative trophy.

He was at Huddersfield from 1992 through till 1997 and was without doubt the most successful period of his footballing days, making 243 league appearances scoring 33 goals along the way.

So Where is he Now?

Iain Dunn is currently a street environment officer for York City Council. In late 2006, Iain was involved in a national campaign to prevent the people of York putting their bins out too early, a job described as 'not glamorous, but...very, very important' by Iain, on a Daily Mail press release. Iain is a Street Environment Officer and this new team, which was set up to fight environmental crime in 2003, has won national awards!
